like that?” Sandra Bellegarde will guide you through a variety of reading material that will open your eyes to the true intent behind some truly disturbing historical documents relating to treaties and residential schools.  Looking at the past through your modern perspective sheds new light onto what was really happening at the time.  

Biography: Sandra Bellegarde is a Cree woman from the Peepeekisis First Nation and is an Instructional Consultant with Regina Public Schools.  Sandra loves to share her passion of Indigenous history with students and teachers because exploring and unpacking the past tells us much about our present.

Biographie: Consultant pédagogique sur l’enseignement autochtone à la commission scolaire publique de Regina Sandra Bellegarde est originaire de la nation cri de la réserve Première Nation Peepeekisis.  Sandra aime partager sa passion au sujet de l’histoire des Premières Nations avec les élèves et les enseignants parce que l’exploration et  la découverte du passé nous permet de comprendre de nombreuses réalités actuelles.
